Aloe vera is known for its vast benefits. It is used for Skin, Hair and for Health purposes. It is very safe to use it both internally and externally.
Today i am going to show you how to make Aloe vera hair oil which is great for your hair growth. Bet you will find useful and gives you a strong, dark and voluminous hair. I am using this oil since from my childhood and it works wonder to your hair.
Main ingredient would be Aloe vera and we do add few other items like fenugreek ,curry leaves, castor oil and gingelly(Sesame) oil too.
- Aloe vera gives voluminous and strong hair and helps in speeding the hair growth.
- Adding fenugreek gives more shining and act as a conditioner to hair.
- Curry leaves darkens and strengthens your hair.
- You can add any oils for making this hair oil but i strongly suggest you to use Castor oil which promotes hair growth, stops hair fall, thickens the hair and treats premature graying and scalp infections.
- As castor oil has higher viscosity(more sticky), we add Gingelly oil along with it. Gingelly oil also plays an important role in hair growth. It protects your hair from UV rays and hence acts as a sunscreen to your hair. Soothes and strengthens your hair.
Anyway, Lets get started.
Requirements
- Aloe vera - 3 medium size leaves or 2 big size leaves.
- Fenugreek - 2 or 3 teaspoon
- Curry leaves - 2 handsful
- Castor oil - 500 ml
- Gingelly oil - 500 ml
Steps to follow
Step 1 :
Remove the gel from the Aloe vera leaves and cut the gels into small pieces. Keep it aside.
Step 2 :
Add Fenugreek with the gel and allow it to soak completely for 5 to 6 hours.
Step 3 :
After soaking the duo would look like this.
Step 4 :
Wash the curry leaves and dry it.
Step 5 :
Take 500 ml of Castor oil.
Step 6 :
Take 500 ml of Gingelly oil.
Step 7 :
Mix both the oils in a bowl in which you are going to boil it.
Step 8 :
Add the soaked Aloe vera and the fenugreek with the oil.
Step 9 :
Next remove the stems of the curry leaves and add it to the oil.
Step 10 :
Heat all these mixture in low flame. DONT USE HIGH FLAME. The oil would start to form as froth as you see in the picture. Use a spatula to mix the content in a circular way for atleast 10 mins.
Step 11 :
Allow it to cool. Do Step-10 atleast 2 to 3 times. After that, leave it for a day again to let all the ingredients soak together.
Step 12 :
Filter the oil. The oil would look like dark green or brown in color.
Step 13 :
Drain it in a oil container and use the oil regularly.
For better results, oil your hair twice a week. Apply the oil to the roots of your hair completely covering the scalp and allow it to soak for an hour. Then wash your hair with a good shampoo. After doing couple of times, you can see drastic changes in your hair growth. Even people who have a thin eyebrows and eyelashes can apply the oil there.
Have a wonderful day !!!!
